چکیده

In this study, to reveal the antioxidant potential of goat milk cells, activities glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD), glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and levels reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH), total (tGSH),malondialdehyde (MDA), vitamin C (Vit C) protein (TP) in cells were determined correlations between these parameters evaluated. Milk samples collected from 19 clinically healthy goats a private farm. Briefly, by centrifugation than they sonicated. Supernatant G6PD, GPx NADPH, tGSH, MDA, Vit spectrophotometric methods. As regards correlations: cell MDA positively correlated with (r=0.488, P<0.05) NADPH (r=0.589, levels. TP activity (r=0.689,P<0.01). There was positive correlation (r=0.497, P<0.05). tGSH (r=0.574, (r=0.848, P<0.01) G6PD (r=0.474, conclusion, evaluated discusses. Key Words: Goat cell, GPx,

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency and red cell glutathione peroxidase.

The activity of glutathione peroxidase (GSH Px), glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G-6-PD), hexokinase, and glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (EGOT) was measured in 78 blood samples. GSH Px activity was not found to correlate with hexokinase or EGOT activity, indicating that it was not a strongly age-dependent enzyme. Although modest elevations of GSH Px activity were observed in the red cells...

Apocynin, Reduced Nicotinamide-Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate Oxidase, and Vascular Cells

Apocynin (4-hydroxy-3-methoxyacetophenone), isolated from the traditional medicinal plant Picrorhiza kurroa, is a naturally occurring methoxy-substituted catechol, experimentally used as an inhibitor of reduced nicotinamide-adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH) oxidase.1 Activated neutrophil NADPH oxidase, a multisubunit complex composed of membrane-associated gp91phox (Nox2) and p22phox and c...

Reduced glutathione and glutathione disulfide in the blood of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase-deficient newborns

BACKGROUND Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency is commonly detected during mass screening for neonatal disease. We developed a method to measure reduced glutathione (GSH) and glutathione disulfide (GSSG) using tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) for detecting G6PD deficiency. METHODS The concentration of GSH and the GSH/GSSG ratio in newborn dry-blood-spot (DBS) screening and in ...

Inhibition of rat liver nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide kinase by reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate.

Rat liver NAD kinase (ATP : NAD 2’-phosphotransferase, EC 2.7.1.23) was purified about 70-fold. The MichaelisMenten constants (Km) for NAD and ATP were 8 x 10e4 M and 2 x low3 M, respectively. NAD kinase activity was markedly inhibited by NADH and also NADPH. The Ki of NADH was approximately 1 X 10q4 M, and that of NADPH was approximately 5 X 10M5 M. Both inhibitions were competitive with NAD, ...

Effects of estradiol and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate on rate of degradation of uterine glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase.

Direct measurement of the effects of e&radio1 on the rate of incorporation of “C-amino-acids into immunoprecipitable uterine glucose-6-P dehydrogenase (o-glucose-6-phosphate:NADP+ oxidoreductase, EC 1.1.1.49) indicates that the de nouo rate of synthesis of the enzyme is increased in ovariectomized mature rats in response to the hormone. The present study was undertaken to determine whether estr...
